    This course has been designed for you to complete at a pace that suits you, it is a blended learning course meaning you study at home in your own time, for certification you will need to register with your chosen LBL member college to conduct the practical assessment elements at the college.

    Course Overview

    This qualification aims to provide candidates with the skills and knowledge to use veterinary medicines safely, responsibly and in accordance with current legislation. The qualification is endorsed for farm livestock, camelids, and equine. The qualification offers opportunities for employment, provides the foundation for further skills development and increase opportunities for career progression.

    Assessment
    Each unit will be assessed by means of a range of practical activities timetabled and assessed within an approved centre. They will cover all learning outcomes specified in the unit. Your selected approved centre will provide further details.

    Entry Requirements

    Anyone can access the materials, the qualification itself is at Level two and therefore literacy and numeracy to support this level would be an advantage, for learners with additional needs please disclose to your registered provider to access support and assessment arrangements reflective of your learning needs. 

    Cost
    The price for the course, which is dependent on individual circumstances, will be provided by your selected college provider, here you can access supporting materials for free to help you master the topic and work effectively with larger livestock. 



  • Storage and transportation of veterinary medicines

    In this module, we shall look at the features of a veterinary medicines store and the safety checks that need to be made during the use and storage of veterinary medicines, in order to ensure the safety of self and others. We shall also look at how we transport veterinary medicines and equipment and the requirements for safe transportation.
